Hey been missing for 2 days .... well, was meditating much in the last two days about how the Lord answers us when we call out to him.
Like the Psalmist David, many a time we cry out to God only in desperation or distress. But I would like to think that God, in this season, is teaching us to cry out to Him and have a deep assurance that He is with us, longs to hear us speak and be intimate with Him and considers our sighing or groans even before we even utter a word.
In the mornings (Ps 5) we can lay our requests before God and wait in expectation. This kind of expectation gives us such a hope in our hearts that yearns for more and more of His presence. God wants to give us a gladness, joy, radiance, gleeful & delightful spirit especially when we learn to take refuge in Him as He spreads His protection over us.
For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. Amen and amen!
