Prayer & Repentance

Read Joel 1-3 today as the Lord reminded me of SP’s message on ‘Brokenness’…There is a serious need for us, as ministers and priest, to gird ourselves, lament and wail before the altar of our God for our people and for the many situations around us. The Lord wants us to consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly, gather our people and all the inhabitants of the land into the House of God … to CRY out to the Lord.

For the day of the Lord is coming and it is at hand – a day of darkness and gloom, a day of dark clouds and thick darkness .. it is great and terrible! Who can endure it? Therefore, the Lord is calling us to TURN TO HIM with ALL OUR HEARTS, with fasting, weeping, mourning, rending our hearts and not our garments. Return to Him for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness and He relents from doing harm.

WHO KNOWS if He will turn and relent and leave a blessing behind Him – a grain offering for the Lord your God? Therefore, I must pray!! I never know when the Lord will turn around and hear my prayers.

And the Lord assured me that He will restore to me the years that the locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, the chewing locust – I shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the NAME OF THE LORD, MY GOD .. and I shall never be put to shame.
